Problem

The healthcare industry is complex and often difficult for individuals to navigate. This complexity can lead to individuals not receiving the care they need, or incurring high costs for their care.

Furthermore, Luna Health is committed to guiding its customers through the healthcare process. This includes providing resources to help individuals understand their insurance policies and the healthcare system, as well as offering support in finding and accessing quality care. By doing so, Luna Health aims to illuminate the path to wellness, ensuring that individuals can navigate the healthcare system with ease and confidence. Through these efforts, Luna Health is working to transform the healthcare experience, making it more accessible and less stressful for all.

Luna Health recognizes that the current healthcare landscape can be daunting for many individuals. The complexity of insurance policies, the high cost of medical procedures, and the difficulty in finding and accessing quality care are all barriers to individuals receiving the healthcare they need. Luna Health aims to simplify this process by offering clear and comprehensive health insurance plans. These plans are designed to cover a wide range of medical procedures and treatments, ensuring that individuals can access the care they need without incurring prohibitively high costs.

Solution

As Luna Health, we are committed to simplifying the healthcare journey for our customers. We aim to provide comprehensive and affordable health insurance plans that cover a wide range of medical procedures and treatments.

Design Process

1. Understanding the Brief

As Luna Health, our first step in the design process is to fully understand the brief. This involves grasping the problem we’re trying to solve, the needs of our customers, and the goals we want to achieve. We ask questions, clarify doubts, and ensure we have a clear picture of what we’re aiming for.

2. Research

Once we have a clear understanding of the brief, we move on to the research phase. We study the market, analyze our competitors, and understand the latest trends in the healthcare industry. We also gather insights about our customers - their needs, their pain points, and their expectations from a healthcare provider.

3. Define

Based on our understanding of the brief and our research findings, we define our design challenge. We articulate the problem we’re solving, the customers we’re serving, and the impact we want to create. This definition serves as a guide for our design process.

4. Ideate

With a clear definition of our design challenge, we start generating ideas. We brainstorm different ways to solve the problem, meet our customers’ needs, and achieve our goals. We encourage creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, ensuring a wide range of ideas are explored.

5. Prototype

From our pool of ideas, we select the most promising ones and turn them into tangible prototypes. These prototypes could be new insurance plans, customer support processes, or digital tools for our customers. We create these prototypes keeping in mind our customers’ needs and our design goals.

6. Test

Finally, we test our prototypes. We gather feedback from our customers, observe how they interact with our prototypes, and understand if our solutions are meeting their needs. Based on this feedback, we refine our prototypes, making changes and improvements as necessary.

Conlusion

The long process of researching, testing, and repeatedly honing my designs has led to a project I’m proud of, but still, I believe there’s a lot of room for improvement.

WHAT I LEARNED

It's good to ask for lots of help! Having a fresh pair of eyes helped a lot with nitpicking details I glazed over Settling on a good word choice can be harder than settling on a design choice... Brand identity is formed through every decision in tone, color, shapes, and more!

SOMETHING I WANT TO IMPROVE ON

I'd like to work more on my research method. The sample for my initial interview research was quite small and biased given that they were my friends. While they gave me incredible insights, it definitely would have been better if I reached out to a larger audience for more diversity!

MOVING FORWARD...

Fully developing the features of every page and adding interaction Testing with more users to see what engages them in other apps and create a sample curriculum to challenge the effectiveness of Eatcue's method
